A MAJOR search was launched after reports of a fire and the crash of a micro light aircraft near Cleobury Mortimer.
The aircraft was reported to have gone down at just after 11am on Sunday (September 27).
A police helicopter was scrambled and four ground search teams activated to look for the aircraft in the Kinlet area.
There were six fire appliances from Cleobury Mortimer, Church Stretton, Bridgnorth and Wellington including a specialist rough terrain Pinzgauer vehicle.
After four hours the search teams were stood down after nothing had been found.
