UNCERTAINTY hangs over the future of a Ludlow environmental company that employs 40 people.

Evergreen Gas Limited based at Woofferton Wharf has been placed in administration.

The company that was founded in 2011 designs makes and sells anaerobic digester plants that turn food waste, manure, sewage sludge and crops including gas cuttings into gas.

Forty people are employed by the business in Ludlow, Northampton and Glasgow.

Lila Thomas and David Robert of Begbies Traynor based in Preston has been appointed as joint administrators.

The Advertiser contacted Begbies Traynor but no information was available about the future prospects for the business.
