FORMER Ludlow GP Dr Caron Morton has stepped down from the leadership of the Shropshire Clinical Commissioning Group.
It is not known if she will return to the role of leading the group that is in the front line of commissioning clinical services in Ludlow and south Shropshire.
A statement said that Dr Morton is on authorised leave and that Brigid Stacey, Director of Nursing and Quality NHS England (North Midlands), has been seconded to Shropshire CCG as Acting and Interim Accountable Officer.
