THERE is a chance to view some beautiful blooms in an outstanding rural church.

A flower festival entitled 'English Country Gardens' is being organised by the Flower Ladies and parochial church council of St George’s Church in Orleton, on May 23, 24, and 25 in the church.

St George’s Church is a beautiful listed church with its many ancient artefacts lending itself to such displays.

Anyone who has had the pleasure of visiting previous festivals will know they are in for a special treat.

The festival will be open from 10am until 4pm on all three days.

Musicians and organists will be providing background music and stewards will be available to guide visitors around.

In the nearby vicarage there will be stalls including a white elephant, plants and books, a draw and refreshments for the whole of the three days.

Lunch from noon until 2pm will include a ploughman’s and a variety of cake. Tea, coffee and squash will be available with light refreshments throughout each day.

There will be a Songs of Praise on Sunday May 24 at 6.30pm in St George’s Church.

All are welcome to come and have a good sing among the beautiful flowers.

All funds raised will purchase the festival flowers and help St George’s.

Everything can be under cover in case of rain.
