IT was cycling that got a young Ludlow woman into running.

Becky Price, who lives in the town, was at university when she signed for a charity bike ride from Leeds to Berlin last June.

To put the edge on her fitness training she decided to take part in the Leeds half marathon last year.

As a result she got the running bug and so the 22 year-old who works at Fat Face in Ludlow decided to put her name down for the Manchester marathon on Sunday (April 19).

She will undertake the 26 mile challenge to help raise money for the Ludlow charity ‘Working Together’ where Becky and her mum Carol volunteer.

The charity was founded in 2002 and plays an important part in the life of the town for young people.

Working Together is a registered charitable company and voluntary organisation run by a team of members, trustees, volunteers and carers.

It aim is to provide a focus for people with learning disabilities and their families.

Support is provided with training, work opportunities, and recreational activities firmly rooted in the local community.

Working Together tries to encourage the inclusion of people with learning difficulties in all aspects of community life and thereby offers opportunities that are often available only in larger towns.
