A REVISED planning application has been submitted for a solar farm near Ludlow.
EBS Energy has reduced the size of a scheme at Whitton following the rejection of an earlier scheme for a solar farm on the site.
Shropshire Council planners rejected the original proposal because of its visual impact and close proximity to the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The revised application has cut the size of the solar farm in half from a development that would have produced 8,600kW to one of 4,350kW.
It also envisages that there will be landscaping, tree planting and the creation of a flower meadow. The site would also continue to be used for the grazing of sheep between the solar panels.
