LITTLE Grace Williams has gone to great lengths to help sick children.

Grace, aged six, a pupil at Farlow C of E Primary School, near Cleobury Mortimer, had never had her hair cut and decided she would like to use the occasion to raise money for a worthwhile cause.

Her sponsored hair cut was in aid of The Little Princess Trust, a charity which makes wigs for children who have lost their hair through cancer treatment.

"Grace has spent six years and 10 months growing her hair,” said Grace’s mum Sarah Williams.

“She's looking forward to having it cut and helping poorly children.

"Grace would love to raise as much money as she can to send to the charity with her hair. It's a fantastic cause and we are so grateful to the local community for getting behind the event."

The appeal has already raised nearly £1,000 and donations will be accepted till March 14.
