LUDLOW Air Cadets has staged their squadron parade and presentation.

Cadets, staff and parents welcomed Wing Commander Andrew Griffin, officer commanding of West Mercian Wing, as guest of honour.

During the evening, many certificates of achievement were handed out as well as trophies for sports, shooting, attendance, radio communications and fund-raising.

The trophy for best cadet for 2014 was awarded to Cadet Matthew Newman by Wing Commander Griffin.

He said that he was incredibly proud of the achievements of all the cadets and they are all a credit to the squadron, their families and themselves.

The Air Cadets is open to young people aged from 12 to 18 years of age and adults who may be interested in becoming instructors.

Ludlow Air Cadets meet at its headquarters in Smithfield Car Park on Tuesday and Friday evenings from 7pm.
