PEOPLE turned out in force in south Shropshire to take part in an autumn ‘wonder walk.’
The walk was for a wonderful cause with money raised going towards the Hope House children’s hospice.
More than 60 people started the walk that covered six miles and took three hours.
Walkers were provided with ‘fuel’ to keep them going in the form of a bacon sandwich before they set out on their ramble through the autumn countryside.
The walk started at the country pub in Ratlinghope and also finished at the pub where people were rewarded with a hog roast.
However, they were not rewarded with a continuation of the ‘Indian summer’ that saw the highest temperature for Halloween for many years.
The Hope House Hospice provides a range of care and support for those suffering from life-limiting illnesses. It also helps families and carers of sick children.
