TWO major solar farm schemes in south Shropshire have been rejected.
A controversial scheme for more than 40,000 solar panels on land between Caynham and Whitton was thrown out by Shropshire Council planners against the recommendation of its own officers.
And a similar scheme to build a 6.5MW solar farm at Acton Scott was also rejected at a planning meeting yesterday attended by around 150 people.
