THE Ludlow car club is expanding and plans to introduce a third vehicle.
Ludlow’s Pay-As-You-Go Car Club is approaching its first anniversary and now has 33 Ludlow members and the two cars – a Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta.
The new reduced fees, introduced this month (March) are proving to be popular and members are finding that pay-as-you-go driving is an economic alternative to car ownership.
As a result the club is considering obtaining a third Ludlow car, to enable more Ludlow residents to take advantage of the scheme.
Several people have suggested that it should consider siting this third car further away from the town centre to provide a more convenient pick up and drop off point for people living on the outskirts of the town – especially in the Parys Road area.
The club wants to hear the views of residents and businesses in the area and this idea will be discussed at a public meeting to be held at Guy Thornycroft Court in Tollgate Road on Tuesday April 1 at 5.30pm.
