IT was with a mixture of sadness and joy that we read about the passing of Felix Cruxon-Cole in the Announcements in the Ludlow Advertiser (August 20). Felix, feline friend to many, died peacefully aged 23 years.
Sadness, because Felix belonged to our aunt, Ruth Cruxon, formerly of Bickley Corner, Tenbury Wells.
When Auntie Ruth had to go into a care home in Kidderminster, she had to give up Felix, but right up until her own passing in 2010, she missed Felix terribly and spoke of him often.
Joy, because Felix lived to such a ripe old age and Auntie Ruth would have been so proud.
Katie Cole, if you are reading this, thank you so much from all of Ruth’s family.
Felix lived up to his name and gave joy to so many people.
