THE question of what can or should be done for the Syrian refugees continues to divide us, with well-founded arguments on both sides.
In the long run, of course, the only solution is to lance the obnoxious boil which is ISIS, and for the international community to make Syria a safe place for them to return to. A daunting task.
In the meantime, the Bishop of Ludlow writes of the need to treat borders as boundaries, and in fact be flexible and imaginative.
Here is a way in which practical help could be provided.
The Anglican Church in Ludlow currently has two large residential properties on, or about to go on, the market.
One at least is in excellent condition. Could not the sale of one or both be delayed and it or they made available to provide some of the much-needed accommodation for Syrian families?
