I BOUGHT a copy of the Advertiser and was delighted to see such full and positive cover of the Ludlow Festival of Small Gardens in your paper.
However, I must point out some misinformation.
Ludlow Festival of Small Gardens does not simply support the Assembly Rooms.
This was the case for the first two years but last year the event became a Community Interest Company with eight volunteer directors.
It is therefore an independent organisation which aims to support a variety of local charities, local artists and small business - es and to encourage gardeners all over the town to share their gardens.
The Assembly Rooms are very good to us and offers support and allows us to use their facilities for which we largely pay.
The Festival of Small Gardens is entirely different from the Secret Gardens, which is run solely for the Assembly Rooms.
We run the event with sponsorship from many organisations and this year gained support from the Big Lottery Fund among others and our focus is to support community involvement in Ludlow.
