THROUGH your newspaper I would very much like to try to locate relatives and friends of my father, Mr Donald Barnett Fletcher, who was born and spent his youth in Ludlow and Craven Arms.
He attended Ludlow Grammar before joining the Royal Air Force towards the end of the war. As a result of subsequent postings he only briefly visited his parents and sister (June). His memory of the past is very sketchy and he himself is trying to piece it all together as we try to do a family tree.
His father was James Fletcher whose sister was called Doris. She had one son who they called Derek. On the maternal side, the only information I have is that his mother was Asenath Barnett and there is some connection to Wem.
