THE annual show and sale of store lambs at the Three Horseshoes attracted a nice entry of more than 300.
The winner of the Peter Seabury trophy, which was presented by Clive Seabury for the best pen of store lambs, went to Owen Hughes.
There was a firm level of demand.
Larger store lambs sold up to £66.00 per head and averaged £61.50, medium store lambs sold to £60.00 and averaged £56.50.
Small store lambs sold up to £51.00 and averaged £45.50.
Welsh lambs made £31.00.
Shropshire two-year-old ewes went at £140.00 and full-mouthed Shropshire ewes at £100.00.
There was a nice crowd of buyers on parade at the sale, generating a good atmosphere.
The next sale takes place on Saturday, October 31.
