Around 100 people attended the event that included a three-course meal, speeches by guest speaker Nathan Davies, the chairperson Jess Barrett and others, presentation of the club’s carol singing money to Macmillan Cancer Support, presentation of awards and a video of club members during the year.

Club members Jess Barrett, Kim Barnett, Ieuan Thomas, Ben Harris, Wendy Mawer and Sarah Bevan presented £600 from their carol singing last winter to Macmillan development manager Alun Tandy who thanked the club for the money and said they had done “remarkably well”.

In her speech, Jess said the club had done very well this year and were now looking forward to 2015 when they will host all the three big county events including the county rally.

She thanked all the club leaders for their support and all the members who had done so well over the last year. Awards were presented to Megan Thomas for gaining the most points on rally day, Elizabeth Swancott for stock judging, George Morgan for the most points throughout the year, Anna Morgan won the most enthusiastic female and Ollie Brock the most enthusiastic male member.

Jess presented her chairman’s member of the year award to Stuart Morgan. After the presentations the evening continued with dancing to the music from the lady DJ.
