THE Earl of Plymouth's estate is home to a rare breed of British pig.
Until the 1960s the Gloucester Old Spot was a fairly common sight but it has now almost disappeared.
Now the breed is making a comeback and it was celebrated at the Ludlow Food Centre at Bromfield in its Gloucester Old Spot Festival.
The pigs put in an appearance while there were various demonstrations including bacon curing from John Breton, a butcher at The Food Centre.
Ludlow chef Will Holland also showed what wonderful food can be made from the spotty pig.
