LUDLOW Food Centre is celebrating a particularly special kind of pig.

The second Festival of the Gloucester Old Spot Pig will take place at the centre and include all things spotty and piggy.

Ludlow Food Centre will be a magnet for Old Spot fanatics, as it hosts this celebration that includes workshops, cooking demonstrations, competitions and fun for all the family.

There will be a pig roast and barbecue but visitors will also be able to see the pigs, take part in workshops, make their own sausages and learn from award-winning producers.

Guests include Maynard Davis, of Maynard’s Bacon; Will Holland of La Becasse; and Ladies in Pigs with more yet to be confirmed.

There will be fun for children too with activities, face-painting and games in the new picnic area.

‘We want to showcase the quality of British Pork and in our opinion Gloucester Old Spot is the best,” said Tom Hunt, marketing manager for the centre.
