SHROPSHIRE’S farming community was brought together for an annual conference to debate industry issues and hear the latest on rural legislation.

Organised by the CLA and law firm, mfg Solicitors, the free farming seminar was held at Shrewsbury Town Football Club’s Greenhous Meadow Stadium and saw legal and rural experts presenting to over 60 guests on topics including strategic land development, updates on CAP reforms and one of the Telford law firm’s specialisms, manorial rights.

“Our annual farming seminar here in Shropshire continues to play an important role in updating farmers, landowners and professionals on significant rural legislation changes,” said Iain Morrison, partner at mfg Solicitors.

He added: “It was excellent to see a strong turnout and lengthy debate on issues which will affect the industry in the months ahead.

“Along with our partners at the CLA, we want Shropshire’s rural communities to be prepared and clear on what their next steps should be.”
