TENBURY Agricultural Society (TAS) has held its annual dinner and awards presentation evening at Cadmore Lodge.

A total of 150 out of 186 guests attended on a very snowy, cold and icy night and TAS members had to snow plough and salt the drive-way down to Cadmore to make this possible.

A small number of guests traditionally carve the beef which was again supplied by ABP for their fellow guests and this year was no exception.

The diners were then entertained by the guest speaker Lionel Hill, a farmer from Feckenham near Redditch who has been in the Young Farmers Club since a boy, has been actively involved with the Worcestershire and national Young Farmers organisations and holds an MBE.

His speech included a talk about the willow trees that he grows for fuel.
