ON Saturday, September 23 locals and visitors alike can enjoy the Bishop's Castle Michaelmas Fair.

A truly unique and wonderful event for everyone! A street fair throughout the town - from the Church at the bottom too the Old Market Square at the top.

All the Michaelmas favourites will be there: steam engines; vintage vehicle processions; stalls; workshops and incredible entertainment.

This year the Liverpool Hung Gar Kung Fu School Chinese Lion and Dragon Dancers will entertain. A fantastic martial arts school performing traditional Chinese Hung Gar Kung Fu hand forms and weapon forms, along with Chinese Lion and Dragon dancing.

There will be entertainment from Panic Family Circus with a mission to spread fun through circus skills, puppetry, games, storytelling and creativity.

There will also be a visit from Nelson the elephant and dance displays from Zazu Tribal Dancers, Hi-Frequency Dance and Raise the Dust Appalachian Dancers.

In addition, there will be some special bee themed events to help raise awareness about protecting bees and boosting their numbers.

Come and enjoy the vehicle commentary from Fuzz Townshend and Will Robinson and enjoy all kinds of music from artists including Fight the Bear; The Nuclear Weasels; The Mighty Vipers; Paprika Blues Band; The Conspiritualists; Bablefish; Knighton Town Silver Band; The Singing Florist; Bishop's Castle Orchestra; Tradewinds Shindy; The Men From Off; Bishop's Castle Community Band; Castle Voices and The Bishop's Castle AMP (About Music Project).

The event will be held from noon until 9pm, adult entry costs £5 and under 12s are free.
