BACK in April 1983, members of Cleobury Mortimer Parochial Church Council decided it would be nice if the clock, which had been silent for more than 20 years, regained its voice.
So the striking mechanism was repaired at a cost of around £400.
Repairer Gerard Billhouse and Jack Vaughan (second right) offered to do the job with four bellringers Russell Morris and Ruth Horsfield (Back) with Philip Burton and Tracy Cordes and church recorder Gordon Place inspecting the work.
