WOMEN of all ages, men over 55 and children can all take advantage of free weekly tennis coaching at Bishop's Castle Lawn Tennis Club.
The club will be using the remainder of Lottery cash awarded last year when they hired Lucy Taylor from Church Stretton to run coaching sessions.
This proved to be such a success that Lucy, who won the award for Shropshire Tennis Coach of the Year in 2015, is coming back again this summer.
The free scheme starts on April 25 and early booking is recommended.
Children age six to eight are welcome from 4pm - 4.45pm; followed by ages nine to 11 from 4.45pm - 5.45pm. Women have their coaching session from 6pm - 7pm and men from 7pm - 8pm. Trevor Chalkley, club chairman and said, " Tennis is a game for all ages and all levels of fitness. Recent research shows it to have greater health benefits than many other physical activities. Many people used to play when they were younger and our lessons offer a way of getting back into playing again. We are delighted to welcome Lucy back to our club. People really enjoyed her sessions last year and we had many favourable comments. Please call me to book a place on 01588 630678 or email trevorchalkley@gmail.com"
