THERE is a day being given over to health and wellbeing at Bishop's Castle Town Hall.

People who want to get in shape or at least help improve their health will get a chance to find out about the variety of local sports, leisure activities, therapies and practices which can help you get fitter, feel well and stay well.

Sports represented include tennis, walking and Nordic walking, running, bowling, cycling, horse riding, Tai Chi.

The team from SpArC will be there to test fitness and give information on what’s available.

Health organisations including the practice nurses will be on hand to give a short health check, hearing checks are also on offer.

Bishop's Castle Patients Group, Shropshire Healthy Friendships and the Mental Health team and Slimming World will also have stalls.

Alternative therapies will be represented by various healers including the Bowen Technique and Crystal healing.

The event, which is free of charge, is on Saturday (March 11) starting at 10am and finishing at 4pm.
