FOLLOWING successful twice yearly concerts it is the custom of St Michaels Singers to present donations to local charities.

This year, following their ever popular, Christmas Crackers concert – their chosen charity was, the First Responders Scheme and a cheque for £300 was presented by Pat Mutton the chairman at their initial meeting for this year on January 31.

Community First Responders are teams of volunteers who are trained by the ambulance service to a nationally recognised level and provide lifesaving treatment to people in their local communities. St Michaels Singers choir meets on Tuesday's at 7.30pm in St Michael's Village Hall, near Tenbury.

Currently there are opportunities for new singers and anyone interested can phone the committee chairman, Pat Mutton on 01584 819875.

They are currently preparing for the next summer concert which will be performed in St Michaels Church on July 15.

This year's ambitious work is Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle.
