ON December 14 children at Crowgate Nursery in Oak Meadow in Bishop's Castle presented two Christmas cakes to Mary Hopkins, a representative of Festive Friends.
Festive Friends is a Quaker based group in Bishop's Castle who will be welcoming people who would be alone on December 25 to Christmas lunch in the Church Barn, Bishop's Castle.
Ingredients for the cakes were mainly donated by parents of children who attend Crowgate and there was enough to make two iced and decorated gifts for the Festive Friends to cut up on Christmas Day.
Crowgate Nursery ends the year with a 'Good' rating from OFSTED and the staff look forward to welcoming children aged two to 11 to their centre which runs all day care from a breakfast club to after school clubs. Call 01588 630133 to find out more.
