A BOOK sale has helped to boost the funds of Bishop's Castle Town Hall.
Following a major renovation, funds are constantly needed for the running and upkeep of the hall that is more than 250 years old.
It was built on the site of a former Guildhall in 1765 but had started to show the wear and tear of the passage of time.
In 2013, a major project to give the Town Hall a new lease of life was started. This was made possible by a grant of £678,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
In addition to this, there was support from the Pilgrim Trust, Shropshire Council and the Shropshire Leader programme as well as local fundraising.
The book sale was one of many regular events that are staged at the Town Hall.
