AUGUST 28, saw the dedication of a wedding kneeler in St Paul's church Knowbury.
Debbie Hotchkiss contacted Churchwarden Carol Hardy on behalf of the Hotchkiss family offering a donation to the church in memory her father, Laurence Hotchkiss. It was suggested that a kneeler for use by the bride and groom during weddings would be a useful and lasting memorial.
A design was made by Joan Bowker and Thyrle Bird, worked by Thyrle Bird and completed by Mariet Procter.
Thyrle, Mariet, Mrs Hotchkiss senior and Debbie are seen in the photograph. Sadly Joan Bowker was unable to attend.
The Rev Kelvin Price officiated at the service.
