THERE was a ‘Party in the Park’ in Bishop's Castle.

More than 11 hours of live music provided the centre piece of the music festival that is in its seventh year.

It took place on the Kerry Lane playing fields.

Music included ‘The Mighty Vipers’ with a strong Caribbean influence, Heidi Brown and local bands Fight the Bear and the Sean Gaffney band.

There were art and music workshops for people of different ages and abilities throughout the day.

Youngsters could have their faces painted and there was plenty of party-style food as well as a bar. For people wanting a more tradition beverage there was a ‘vintage tea tent'.

With summer weather, people were able to just sit on the grass and enjoy what has become a regular and popular part of the annual calendar of events in Bishop's Castle.
