A SOUTH Shropshire man's work on behalf of Nepal has earned him a prestigious prize at the National Adventure Awards in Glasgow.
Anthony Eddies-Davies, a director of Stottesdon-based Live the Adventure, has been travelling to Nepal for more than 20 years and has developed long-standing relationships with communities on the ground in Nepal and Bhutan.
What started as a passion for him has turned into an adventure travel business .
And now, at the National Adventure Awards in Glasgow, Anthony has been presented with the 'Unsung Hero ' award in front of 200 fellow adventurers.
He was handed the award in recognition of more than 25 years of work and input to the industry both here in the UK and abroad, highlighted even more so by the more recent fundraising work (more than £50,000) supporting those affected by the earthquake in Nepal.
The award comes almost exactly a year after the earthquake in Nepal, a tragedy which took place on April 25, 2016.
