PRIMARY school pupils in Craven Arms have been getting involved in remembrance.
Members of the Royal British Legion in the town hoisted the Union Flag at the Cunnery Road Cemetery and were joined by a contingent of children from St Lawrence’s Church of England Primary School and together with local veterans fixed Union Flags to the graves where service men from two World Wars are buried or are remembered.
Legion members met the children in school first and talked to them about the Royal British Legion and World Wars I and II and the many conflicts since.
On the way from school to the cemetery the children visited the War Memorial on Longhills Road.
