THE Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre will play host to a variety of ‘get fit’ and ‘get healthy’ activities to promote the healthy living message.

Based in Craven Arms, the Discovery Centre will be the focal point of all things healthy with Millie’s food cookery workshops, smoothie making, along with get fit quick with Jester Jack’s fire show and circus tricks as well as a climbing wall from The Edge Adventure.

There will be meadow health trails, a bouncy castle and visitors to the unique grass roofed building in Craven Arms will get the chance to have a go at some bush craft skills.

Counselling psychologist Dr Victoria Galbraith will also lead a mindfulness workshop to help young people to deal with everyday problems and improve well-being.

Britpart, a specialist supplier of Land Rover parts and accessories employing 200 people and based in Craven Arms is sponsoring the day.

The event on Saturday (October 24) is open to everyone and starts at 1.30pm, full programme can be found on the website www.shropshirehillsdiscoverycentre.co.uk or call 01588 676060.
