PEOPLE living in Cleobury Mortimer are being encouraged to help shape the future of policing and put them in with a chance of winning £100.
The town has been chosen for a pilot study by top academics from the School of Law and the Department of Psychology at the University of Warwick, who will use the feedback as part of a much wider investigation.
Residents are being asked to complete an on-line survey.
“We’re looking to evaluate existing perceptions of crime and levels of public confidence in policing in the area,” said Professor Jackie Hodgson, one of the researchers involved in the project, explained
“It only takes 10 minutes to complete and has the potential to not only influence the way the police operate in Cleobury Mortimer and West Mercia and Warwickshire, but across the whole country.”
The survey will be rolled out to other areas in the coming months and will ultimately be used to develop recommendations for police forces around the UK.
The research is being carried out by the Centre for Operational Policing Research (COPR) using funding from the Economic and Social Research Council’s Impact Acceleration Account
