THE throaty roar of bike engines and the distinctive smell from motorcycle engines were experienced in Cleobury Mortimer.

Lacon Childe School was the venue for the Borders Classic Bike Show.

The popular annual event attracted bike enthusiasts from all over the Midlands.

Guest of Honour was veteran racer Les Trotter with two of his racing Suzukis, one of them the special he built in his home workshop and rode to win the 500cc Manx Grand Prix in 1976.

He had a special display showing his racing career of 52 years and it will be a feature on the show’s main stage, where he was interviewed on both days.

There were bikes of all shapes and sizes from different eras of motorcycling.
