A SERIOUS accident has closed the A49 in south Shropshire this morning.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the main Ludlow to Shrewsbury route.
An accident at Leebotwood, near Church Stretton, occurred around 7.45am and is understood to be of a very serious nature.
Motorists, including those travelling from the south of the county to attend Shrewsbury Town's friendly with local rivals Wolves, are advised to find an alternative route.
