NEW staff, products and services will mark a decade in business for a beauty salon in Bishop's Castle.

The Worx in Bishop’s Castle is celebrating 10 years of trading by expanding its services.

Jo Beadman, proprietor of The Worx, has been hairdressing since 1987 and went to Bishop's Castle County High School which is now The Community College. She trained in Kidderminster before opening her salon in 2005.

Sarah Jones has joined The Worx as a senior stylist. She is full-time and specialises in cutting and colouring. She is qualified in NVQ level three hairdressing and is also a NVQ assessor in hairdressing and waxing. Sarah has also attended waxing and body piercing courses.

Also joining The Worx is Theoline Potter who trained as a nail technician and beautician in South Africa and moved to the area three months ago to marry a local man.

Theoline specialises in acrylic nails and eyelash extensions.

Staff at the Worx are also welcoming a new business 'Serenity Massage and Holistic Therapies' in the coming months which will be operating from the salon along with a planned expansion of the services on offer there.

Existing staff in the business are Christine Shone who is a qualified hairdresser and works part-time along with Jo.

In addition Wendy Williams has been operating from these premises for the last 13 years offering a range of beauty treatments including manicures, pedicures, hot stone massage, aromatherapy, eyelash tinting, and facials and also specialises in wedding make-up.

Proprietor Jo Beadman said: “It’s great that my business is expanding and I am so pleased to welcome Sarah and Theoline who will, over the coming months, be looking to expand the services we can offer here with the existing staff.”
