FAMILIES had a weekend of fun and got close to wildlife at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms.
To mark the arrival of the spring equinox there were two days of nature activities.
On the programme was the opportunity to make nest boxes for birds that can be put up in gardens.
There were also pond dipping sessions to find out what lives in the ponds on the site.
One of the key skills of the naturalist is to learn how to identify the clues that animals leave and there were sessions in which children made plaster casts of different tracks.
Stuart Edmonds, from the Shropshire Mammal Group, led a nature trail walk lasting one-and-a-half hours. There was also a chance to watch films and animals and birds.
