THE New Year has seen a new venue for the Tenbury Local Produce Market.

Eighteen months after it was first established the market is back where it started at The Royal Oak.

However, it is only the second ever market to be held at the pub as it moved on from the Royal Oak after holding its first event there in the summer of 2013.

Since then the stallholders have been on Palmers Meadow, near to the Pump Rooms, and most recently in Teme Street.

The stalls were for a number of months on Teme Street occupying the pavement area and kerbside parking places but it was decided that this presented a safety risk hence to return to The Royal Oak.

Markets are staged on the third Saturday of every month and are aimed at giving local producers a chance to sell and promote their businesses.

Special markets are also held periodically at Burford House Garden.
