CRAFTS from the Clun Valley and beyond attracted a lot of interest at a fair staged at Clunbury Village Hall.

The idea was to give people from the surrounding area the chance to display and sell their work.

It was the first time in three years that the fair has been staged and it had 12 stall holders. Most of them were from the Clun Valley but some stall holders also came from further afield with Wolverhampton, Wem and Telford represented.

The items for sale included jewellery, cards, the work of a wood turner, items made by a blacksmith, silk scarves, fabrics and sculptures of animals and birds.

Lin Brown, who organised the event, said that it was very well supported by people. The money that was raised is being used to help with the costs of ‘The Parish Post,’ a newsletter that is distributed every month to more than 200 homes in the area.
