THE timing of the craft fair at Church Stretton School was timely.
Members of the Parent Teachers Association at the school staged the event in good time to give people the opportunity to buy gifts that are just a bit different.
There was also a raffle to help to boost funds that are used to provide extra facilities at the school.
Church Stretton School has more than 600 students and is an academy that also has sponsoring academy status through its links with the Stokesay Primary School in Craven Arms.
The school teaches young people up to 16 when they take their GCSE examinations before moving on to work or to study in a sixth form in Bishops Castle, Ludlow or Shrewsbury.
It has an active Parent Teachers Association that holds a number of events throughout the year to raise money and to bring parents and teachers together socially.
