HUNDREDS of dog lovers turned out to the fifth Forest Dog Rescue annual summer fete which raised more than £3,200 for the charity.
“The fete provides us with a great opportunity to raise awareness of the many dogs that we have in our care who are so desperate to find their own loving forever home,” said Mary Braim from the charity.
“We are continually overwhelmed by the level of support we receive and the money donated really does make such a huge difference to the lives of the dogs in our care.”
The next fundraising event is the charity car boot sale which takes place on Sunday (September 7) at Green Gap Kennels, Far Forest.
