HISTORY GROUP - Craven Arms and District History Group has its next meeting at the Discovery Centre next Wednesday at 7pm. Andrew Allott will give an illustrated talk on the natural history of the Marches.

STOKESAY HARVEST - Harvest celebrations will be held at St John the Baptist Church on October 7 from 10am. Please bring along donations of non-perishable goods and personal goods for the Craven Arms Community Food Bank which aims to supply weekly emergency food parcels to families living in hardship.

FRIDAY MARKET - This week only the Saturday market at the Methodist centre will be take place tomorrow (Friday) at the usual time 9am to mid afternoon. All the usual stalls as well as a number of brass items, cameras, toys jewellery, toiletries, quality make-up items, perfumes, cakes, cards, hand knitwear, nearly new, household goods of all kinds, French bric-a-brac, preserves and pickles, fruit and veg.

QUIZ - At the Plough Inn, Wistanstow, in aid of Royal National Lifeboat Institute, tomorrow (Friday) 8.30pm start, £8 per team of 4 includes sandwiches and chips at halftime.
