ROUNDERS TOURNAMENT – There will be a rounders tournament in loving memory of Amy Walden at the playing fields in Craven Arms on September 16, at 10.30am. No more than four men per team, nine per team aged 12 and over. All players play at their own risk. £20 per team (payable on the day). There will be a draw with great prizes. Bring your own drink. HISTORY GROUP – Craven Arms and District History Group has its next meeting at the Discovery Centre next Wednesday at 7pm. FARMERS’ MARKET – At the Discovery Centre on Saturday from early until mid-afternoon, local goods – food, produce, honey, drinks of all kinds, cakes, crafts, breads.

COFFEE MORNING – At the Pilgrim Centre, Dale Street (next to hospice shop) from 10am to noon. Proceeds for Stokesay St John the Baptist Church. Do come along!

DIABETIC SUPPORT GROUP – Next Wednesday at 2pm at Millmead, Mayfield Avenue, central Craven Arms. Refreshments and draw. All are welcome, always good talks, demonstrations, occasionally a whist drive and socialising.

WI – Methodist Centre, Craven Arms, next Wednesday, 2.30pm. Always begins with a meeting and then a talk or demonstration, (sometimes handson), and competitions, socialising, home-made refreshments. Would you like to join? Many advantages, opportunities for trips, garden visiting, meeting other groups, etc. Anyone interested is always welcome for a one-off visit (limited to three visits in one year!)
