HISTORY GROUP TALK - The Craven Arms & District History Group is holding its monthly meeting at The Discovery Centre, Craven Arms on Wednesday at 7pm, with an illustrated talk by Mike Greene, Lydbury Field Group On their archaeological dig at Walcot, ‘Discovering a Jacobean Mill’.

JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS CRAVEN ARMS - On Sunday at the community centre and fields there will be a Party and Picnic in the Park starting with a church service at 10.30am, followed by an extravaganza of activity and entertainment to suit everyone – you name it – it will be there.

The all day fun includes fire engine, face painting, CASBA band, circus workshop, netball, games, bar, craft stalls, story telling, zumba, art/competition, dance, singing, Peppa Pig, gymnastics, Busters Big Band, belly dance, insteps dance, netball, stalls exhibiting/selling, food/refreshments (don't forget the cafe at the centre is always open now) ONIBURY DISTRICT JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS - Times are: Gates open, free entry 12.30pm. Children under 12 years, best King or Queen fancy dress competition 1pm. Bring and share picnic with free drinks at 1.30pm. Fun and games for all the family 2.30pm. Service in St Michael and All Angels Church at 4pm. There will be a flower festival at the church over the weekend and Bank Holiday Monday.

FLOUNDERS FOLLY - Will be open Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, and also on June 24.

TOWNPLANNING - Plans relating to the building of new homes in Craven Arms can be inspected in the library at the Discovery Centre, or if you have a computer, go to the Council's website.

The plans are subject to public consultation, currently due to end on June 8. There will be a public consultation meeting Thursday, June 14, at the community centre, hosted by the town council 5pm - 7pm plans will be available. Main public meeting will be 7pm - 9pm.

MOTHER Teresa? - At Millmead, the Diabetic Support Group will hold a meeting on Wednesday at 2pm when Trish Morris will speak on her experience of working alongside Mother Teresa. All welcome. Refreshments, raffle.

FARMERS MARKET - Discovery Centre, usual monthly market and local produce, crafts on Saturday, early to around 2.30pm.

COFFEE MORNING - Pilgrim Centre, in conjunction with the farmers' market, usual teas/coffees/cookies, socialising 10 until 12 noon. All welcome. In aid of Stokesay Church. Just £1 per person.
