CRAVEN Arm’s best known woolly mammoth is back and looking very smart.
The familiar replica of a woolly Mammoth at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre has been away for a refurbishment.
Merrythought who provided Tusker has donated material for his new coat and the work of fitting him out has been done by Discovery Centre volunteer Catherine Crowther.
Tusker has sat outside Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in all weathers for 15 years, welcoming visitors to the award winning visitor attraction.
But all the hugs he has received over the years took their toll leaving him looking tired and threadbare as well as losing his fur.
Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre houses the replica of a mammoth skeleton found in Shropshire over 30 years ago.
