THE allure of model railways never fades for ‘boys’ aged from six to 106 and for many ‘girls’ as well.

An ever popular annual exhibition is the show put on by the enthusiasts from the Craven Arms and District Model Railway Circle.

It showed that play station games, Pokemon and other games may come and go but model trains are timeless.

As well as technology, there is also history and the models on display at Ludlow Racecourse included a Hornby lay-out from the 1950s as well as an example of a 1901 Madrid Tram.

While admiring the exhibits, visitors were able to buy equipment for the own lay-outs.

There was also an opportunity to return to the future and watch the trains of the early 21st century on the life-size line that runs past Ludlow racecourse.
