IT was a big day for families in Craven Arms

There was the annual family fun day at the award winning Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre.

The activities started at with a family walk through the meadows to the River Onny on the look-out for dragonflies.

There was a bouncy castle, face painting, live music in the meadows and kids Zumba classes.

Bike riding sessions were led by tutor Ray Hughes and there was the chance to double up and ride a tandem.

With the Queen’s birthday celebrations taking place, children made crowns or followed one of the royal trails designed to encourage children to get outdoors and explore the Onny Meadows.

“As a local company, Britpart is very pleased to be able to help sponsor the Family Fun Day at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, we hope it’s a fun day for everyone attending,” said Tony Overs, Finance Director at Britpart.

The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre is managed by Grow Cook Learn, a local charity connecting people to the landscape, history and food of the Shropshire Hills.
