FOOD enthusiasts no longer have to make a choice between English and Asian cuisine.

Fusion cooking is the art of bring together food from different traditions that can provide the best of both worlds.

An Asian Fusion cuisine event was one of a series of cookery based events at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms.

Asian cuisine is usually associated with exotic tastes including the heavy use of spices but has a downside in that it can contain a lot of fat and eaten regularly can be associated with conditions like heart disease and diabetes.

On the other side of the coin English food is often viewed as somewhat bland. But the secret of fusion is bring the two traditions together.
