GRANTS are available to help promote activities for young people in Craven Arms.

The Craven Arms and Rural Local Joint Committee, has a small pot of funding to deliver one-off grants to local organisations or individuals interested in providing or enhancing existing youth activities for 10- to 19-year-olds (up to 24-year-olds, for individuals with learning difficulties) from Craven Arms and the surrounding parishes.

Grants of up to £150 are available to help towards providing opportunities for young people which could include costs of training courses for volunteers, youth session activities, and equipment, all to benefit young people in the local area.

“It is often small grants that can make a big difference, such as paying for a volunteer to attend a training course or buying some new equipment,” said Shropshire councillor David Evans who is chairman of the Local Joint Committee.
